A photo of a clear brace vs a non-clear brace

What are they?

Clear braces are an option similar to traditional braces, except the brackets, which are bonded to the teeth, are made of ceramic and match the shade of the teeth. They are less noticeable than traditional metal braces, but they work just as well to create a beautiful smile. Much like braces, they are always working because they are always on your teeth.

How are they different?

Clear braces are less noticeable than metal braces. They can move teeth faster than Invisalign® and move teeth in some ways that Invisalign® cannot. However, clear braces are somewhat weaker than metal braces, they can stain more easily over time, and they can make it harder to clean your teeth than Invisalign®.

How much more do they cost?

Clear braces in Beverly Hills, California, are slightly more expensive than metal braces. You can assume that the cost will be approximately $500 more for the clear option.

What else do I need to know?

Some patients at Beverly Hills Braces who choose traditional braces opt to have clear braces on just the upper teeth and traditional metal braces on the bottom teeth to make their treatment more aesthetic.

Clear Braces or Invisalign®?

Sometimes Invisalign® is not an option because the aligners are limited by how they can move teeth. More importantly, if you are the kind of person who is not good about remembering to wear your Invisalign® aligners, clear braces may be the best option to get your treatment done without having the treatment time dragged out due to lost clear aligners.
